Strawberry Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 box (15.25 oz) strawberry cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup milk (or heavy cream for extra richness)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, diced (optional, for extra strawberry flavor)
For the glaze (optional):
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp strawberry puree (blend fresh strawberries) or milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
- Combine the strawberry cake mix, melted butter, egg, and milk in a large bowl. Mix until a thick dough forms.
- Fold in white chocolate chips and diced strawberries (if using).
- Transfer the dough to the prepared baking pan and press it evenly into the pan using a spatula or your hands.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centre is set. Be careful not to overbake, as these brownies are meant to be soft and chewy.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing.
Optional glaze:
- Whisk together powdered sugar, strawberry puree (or milk), and vanilla extract until smooth in a small bowl. Drizzle over the cooled brownies.
- Slice into squares and enjoy!
