How To Make Heavy Cream

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 20 g Powdered sugar (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. You want it to be completely melted but not bubbling.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the whole milk.
  • Optional: Add powdered sugar for a sweeter cream.
  • Whisk the mixture until it’s well blended and smooth. If you have an immersion blender or a regular blender, you can blend it for an even creamier texture.
  • You can immediately use your homemade heavy cream in recipes or store it in the refrigerator for up to a week.
