Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, honey, melted butter, and egg until well combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; the dough should be slightly sticky.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently for about 1-2 minutes, just until the dough comes together and is smooth. Shape it into a loaf.
Place the dough into the prepared loaf pan. Brush the top with a little melted butter for a golden crust.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
